How verdicts work
Verdicts come from a deterministic rule set built on published authority standards (JAKIM, MUI, MUIS, HMC, SANHA), never from AI/LLM inference. Ingredient/E-code rulings are computed from named public guides and are not independently scholar-ratified; they default to "Doubtful" when a source is unclear. We do not guarantee completeness or that any product's formulation has not changed.
Your use
Use the app for personal, lawful purposes.
Do not rely on it as the sole basis for a decision with serious health or religious consequences.
Report suspected errors via the in-app report or the corrections flag — we review and log them.
Data & attribution
Product facts are from Open Food Facts under the Open Database License (ODbL); nutrition reference from USDA. Authority standards are linked to their official sources, never republished by us.
